Role Description

The Design Executive will support the end-to-end design process, from initial concept development to final documentation and coordination. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with interior design concepts, preparing mood boards and presentations, producing graphic materials, and ensuring designs align with client branding and project requirements. The role involves collaborating with clients, consultants, and contractors, managing timelines and deliverables, and contributing to design reviews and project coordination. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur, with a mix of in-studio work and some work-from-home flexibility.


Assist in design development, space planning, moodboards and presentations

Prepare 3D visualisations and construction drawings when required

Source and coordinate materials, finishes, samples and suppliers

Assist with BOQ preparation and project schedules

Coordinate with clients, contractors and suppliers

Attend client meetings and site visits

Monitor project progress, deadlines and outstanding matters

Handle general project documentation, correspondence and follow-ups


Qualifications

  • Strong communication and coordination skills, including the ability to present design ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with clients and project teams.
  • Proficiency in graphics-related work, such as visual storytelling, layout, and preparing compelling design presentations.
  • Basic to intermediate project management skills to track tasks, manage timelines, and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Diploma or degree in Interior Design. 1–3 years relevant experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools).
  • Attention to detail, strong aesthetic judgment, and the ability to balance creativity with practical functionality.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment, with a proactive and organized approach.
  • Good knowledge of materials and interior construction
  • Organised, responsible and able to manage multiple tasks
