UST Malaysia Hiring! Full Time Senior Software Engineer in Pulau Pinang - Ricebowl

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to design, develop, test, and implement business applications and decision-support tools supporting supply chain operations.

The selected candidate will work closely with the Technical Lead to review current-state designs, define future-state solutions, and deliver high-quality software features. As part of an Agile/Scrum team, the developer will participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

• Review current application architecture, designs, and code.
• Collaborate with the Technical Lead to define and document future-state technical solutions.
• Design, develop, test, debug, and implement application features.
• Develop and maintain both backend and frontend application components.
• Design, develop, and optimize database components.
• Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
• Troubleshoot application and database issues.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA engineers, technical leads, and other developers.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute throughout the SDLC.
• Create and maintain technical documentation as required.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• C#
• .NET Framework
• T-SQL
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Relational database design and modeling
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns
• MVC architecture
• Strong experience in both backend and frontend application development.
• Proven experience delivering high-quality features for business or enterprise applications.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Strong understanding of software development and database concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Angular 2+
• .NET Core
• WinForms
• Infragistics or other third-party UI libraries
• LINQ
• Client-server application development
• Web application development using the Microsoft technology stack
• Knowledge or experience with Supply Chain concepts and applications

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on software developer with strong expertise in C#, .NET, T-SQL, and Microsoft SQL Server, combined with solid knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, design patterns, MVC, and relational database design.

The candidate should have a proven track record of delivering quality business applications and be comfortable working collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum environment. Supply Chain experience is highly desirable
