Responsibilities

Family Group: Allied Health

Job Summary

Support the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in the coordination, conduct, and administration of clinical research studies, registries, quality improvement initiatives, and grant-funded projects. The Co-ordinator will perform participant-facing, data management, and administrative functions under supervision while ensuring compliance with study protocols, institutional policies, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Research Project Support

Support study start-up activities, research administration, procurement, reimbursement claims, and study documentation.
Assist in coordinating study activities across clinics, wards, operating theatres, rehabilitation services, and external sites.
Support preparation of study reports, presentations, and study materials.
Track participant recruitment and study progress.

Study Conduct and Data Management

Screen, recruit, enrol, and follow up with study participants.
Obtain informed consent where delegated and appropriately trained.
Schedule study visits and coordinate participant assessments.
Administer questionnaires and patient-reported outcome measures.
Enter and maintain study data in REDCap and research databases.
Maintain study logs and supporting documentation.
Perform data cleaning and quality checks.

Regulatory and Compliance

Assist with ethics submissions, study amendments, annual reviews, and study documentation.
Maintain Investigator Site Files and essential study documents.
Support monitoring visits, audits, and inspections.
Report protocol deviations and study issues to supervisors.

Education

Minimum Diploma in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Nursing, Allied Health, Healthcare Management, or related discipline.

Experience

Preferably 1-2 years of healthcare-related experience.
Experience in patient-facing roles, healthcare administration, nursing, or allied health preferred.
Research experience is advantageous but not required.

Special Attributes

Strong interest in healthcare and clinical research.
Good communication, coordination, and organisational skills.
Meticulous and able to manage multiple tasks.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Multilingual ability, especially Mandarin and local dialects, will be advantageous.
Knowledge of REDCap, GCP, and research processes will be advantageous.
