Job Title: Mainframe Communication Server (Network) Engineer
Employment Type: 12 Months Renewable Contract

Working Days: Monday – Friday

Budget - Maximum Upto RM 10,000-RM11,000/Monthly

• Working Arrangement: BAU with 24x7 On-Call support
• Working Hours: 9AM to 5PM MYT (and rotational on-call)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Communication Server (Network) Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Mainframe Services team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in IBM z/OS System Programming, Mainframe Networking (TCP/IP & SNA), and Communication Server administration. The role involves designing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing enterprise mainframe network infrastructure while ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and support IBM z/OS Communication Server environments.
• Perform system programming activities for z/OS Operating System.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot TCP/IP and SNA/APPN networking.
• Provide technical support for Mainframe Communication Server and enterprise network connectivity.
• Perform system tuning, performance monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Support CICS, DB2, scheduling tools, and software application management utilities.
• Configure and maintain printer setup within the mainframe environment.
• Analyze and resolve complex production incidents and network-related issues.
• Perform software installation, maintenance, upgrades, and migration activities.
• Configure encryption technologies including AT-TLS, RACF Keyrings, Digital Certificates, and SSL/TLS security.
• Develop automation scripts using REXX (preferred).
• Work closely with infrastructure, application, storage, and security teams.
• Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, and disaster recovery documentation.
• Participate in production support, change management, system implementation, and on-call activities.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and best practices.
• Support banking or financial applications running on IBM Mainframe platforms.
