Hitachi Rail Hiring! Full Time Senior Product Engineer (Signalling-Networking) in Kowloon Peninsula, Hong Kong - Ricebowl

The role

This position is to contribute the below activities to the Deployment / Installation and Customer Service Team for the service delivery activities of Urban Rail Signalling. It includes, and not limited to:

Service roll-out, Service delivery, Process, Work flow, Work instruction, Problem resolution and service incident handling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare associated Service documents for the assigned projects, modification works and on-site retrofit such as drawings, method of statement, O&M manual, work instruction and so on

• Take part effectively in customer equipment installation and configuration, unit testing, verification, preparation for putting into operation

• Assist installation, testing & commissioning and maintenance activities at site as required, in coordination and cooperation with involved teams

• Run test procedures; such as carry out the FAT and SAT when a product or system evolution has to be implemented.

• Support site testing, HW and SW deployment during the integration and commissioning periods

• Participate in on-site survey, outstanding faults analysis and provide a draft report

• Record the result of tests activities and prepare commissioning report

• Report projects / issues progress and current status to internal and external stakeholders

• Support to setup and manage Training platforms/simulators/equipment & tools

• Support overall Training framework, Plans, Procedures and work flows for project activities

• Support to deliver the Service Training (Operation and Maintenance) to Customers

Requirements

• Degree or Higher Diploma in Electrical, Computer or relevant disciplines

• 8+ years of customer service/product engineer experience is highly preferred

• Well coordination and planning for working with various party and subcontractor

• Strong Troubleshooting and problem solving skill

• Good communication skill, team player and service attitude

• Excellent command of Cantonese and English

• Willingness to work night shifts and onsite as these will be required
