Responsibilities
- Oversee daily container terminal activities to ensure safe, efficient, and seamless operations.
- Assist with vessel loading and unloading processes while upholding service and productivity standards.
- Plan manpower, equipment, and resource allocation based on shift requirements.
- Update and maintain accurate records of terminal movements via the Terminal Operations System.
- Liaise with internal teams, vessel personnel, and operational stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
- Motivate and direct equipment specialists to meet shift targets and maintain service quality.
- Observe operational conditions and respond swiftly to delays, disruptions, or safety concerns.
- Enforce established safety protocols and regulatory requirements across all assigned duties.
- Compile shift handover notes and performance reports using digital reporting tools.
- Participate actively in the structured on-the-job training programme to build competency in port operations, safety, and leadership.
Requirements
- Diploma in ANY discipline from a local polytechnic in Singapore
- No prior work experience required; a structured one-year training programme with dedicated mentorship is provided, though exposure to operations, logistics, or team coordination is an advantage
- Comfortable working rotating shifts (5.5 days a week), with basic familiarity with digital tools considered a plus
- Strong communicator with a collaborative mindset, sound problem-solving skills, and leadership potential
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: S$2,800 to S$3,500
- Monthly shift allowance of $300 to $400
- Annual Wage Supplement (AWS) with variable bonus of 2 to 5 months, subject to performance
- Structured career progression pathway to Operations Executive upon successful completion of training
