The Role

Graduate/Junior - You will step straight into core ship design projects. You will learn to balance hydrodynamic efficiency, stability, and regulatory compliance to bring massive vessel concepts to life.

  • Perform intact and damage stability calculations using advanced software.
  • Develop hull forms, general arrangements, and lines plans.
  • Support Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis and speed-power predictions.
  • Assist in weight engineering and deadweight verification tasks.

Senior - You will be a key technical backbone for hull performance and hydrodynamics. You will take independent ownership of general arrangements, complex stability analysis, and lines development for specialised vessel projects while mentoring junior engineers

  • Independently lead the concept design, General Arrangement (GA) development, and lines plans for new vessel iterations.
  • Prepare design calculations, specifications, and drawings(Lines Plan, Hull Fairing, Naval Architectural Calculations, Stability Calculations, and other necessary calculations to secure classification approvals.
  • Oversee Advanced CFD analysis (Optional) for resistance, propulsion, and seakeeping, or manage physical model test campaigns.
  • Review and approve the technical outputs of junior architects, ensuring 100% compliance with international maritime rules (e.g., EEDI/EEXI) and Class regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and classification society rules.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments

What You Need

  • Graduate with a Diploma, or a recent Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering, with 5+ years of proven vessel design experience for a senior role.
  • Familiarity with naval architecture software, specifically NAPA(including NAPA Designer), Maxsurf, or Rhino.
  • Understanding of major Classification Society rules (e.g., DNV, ABS, LR) and statutory regulations.
  • A strong analytical mindset with an eager desire to learn complex ship physics.
  • Professional fluency in English to connect with our international teams and to deliver technical presentations independently to shipowners and class surveyors.
