Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Operation Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of the hotel and ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality guest services. The role will assist the Hotel Manager in supervising staff, coordinating departments, handling operational matters, and maintaining hotel standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Hotel Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations and ensure smooth workflow across departments.
  • Supervise, guide, and monitor hotel staff to ensure excellent guest service and operational standards.
  • Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, F&B, and other departments to resolve operational issues.
  • Handle guest complaints, feedback, and service recovery professionally and promptly.
  • Monitor staff attendance, performance, discipline, and manpower requirements.
  • Ensure hotel facilities, cleanliness, safety, and service standards are maintained.
  • Assist in implementing and monitoring SOPs, policies, and operational procedures.
  • Monitor daily operations, identify issues, and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Prepare operational reports and provide updates to the Hotel Manager.
  • Assist with staff training, briefing, and performance improvement.
  • Support hotel activities, events, and other operational requirements when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety regulations, and relevant legal requirements.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in hotel/hospitality operations, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of hotel operations and guest service standards.
  • Able to manage staff and work effectively with different departments.
  • Able to work independently, handle pressure, and make quick decisions.
  • Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic administrative/reporting skills.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month

Work Location: In person
