  • A strong academic background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Extensive professional experience, typically exceeding 7 to 10 years, with a proven track record in a leadership or senior supervisory capacity.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or MIA is essential.
  • Advanced expertise in managing full-set accounts and overseeing complex financial operations for multiple entities or branches.
  • Mastery of accounting software, with substantial experience in AutoCount or similar ERP systems.
  • Deep understanding of Malaysian accounting standards, Companies Act 2016, and prevailing tax regulations.
  • Exceptional command of British English, with the ability to draft sophisticated reports and communicate effectively with stakeholders and Directors.
  • Proficiency in Tamil or Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring a team to achieve departmental goals and meet strict reporting deadlines.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of advanced functions for financial modelling and data analysis.
  • Proven ability to manage external audits and corporate tax computations at a managerial level.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a strategic and highly experienced Account Executive or Manager to lead our accounting department. The successful candidate will oversee the integrity of our financial operations across all branches, ensuring full-set accounts are managed with precision. You will serve as a key advisor to the leadership team, providing high-level financial analysis and driving the strategic growth of the firm's fiscal health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the preparation of comprehensive financial statements, audits, and complex reporting for senior management.
  • Drive the annual budgeting process and provide detailed financial forecasting to support long-term business goals.
  • Manage and optimise filing systems and data migration projects to ensure the highest standards of record-keeping and data integrity.
  • Liaise directly with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance with financial standards.
  • Identify and implement improvements to internal controls and accounting workflows to enhance efficiency.
  • Manage high-level client engagements and coordinate complex financial projects across internal teams and external partners.
  • Provide mentorship and supervision to the finance and administrative staff, ensuring professional development and operational excellence.
  • Present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports to the Directors, highlighting risks and opportunities for the firm.
