ME Tooling Room Technician

molex is seeking an experienced ME Tooling Room Technician, is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, repair, and modification of production tooling to support stable manufacturing operations. This role ensures tooling availability, functionality, and safety for mass production and NPI activities by executing hands-on tooling work and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The Tooling Technician works closely with Tooling Engineers and manufacturing teams to reduce tooling-related downtime, maintain production continuity, and improve tooling reliability

Managing and supporting all tooling required for Molex FPC, RF, and Liquid Cooling products, covering the full lifecycle from sample tooling to mass production, including assembly fixtures, test fixtures, punch hard tooling and measurement fixture.

What You Will Do (Job Description)

• 模(治)具維護與維修

執行日常工裝檢查,維護和維修工作,包括夾具,工裝夾具,量規和模具。對損壞,磨損或故障的工裝採取糾正措施,以確保生產連續性, 支援緊急工裝維修,最大限度地減少生產停機時間。

Tooling Maintenance & Repair

• Perform daily tooling inspection, maintenance, and repair activities including fixtures, jigs, gauges, and dies.
• Execute corrective actions for tooling damage, wear, or malfunction to ensure production continuity.
• Support emergency tooling repair to minimize production downtime
• 模(治)具設置與生產支持。

根據生產需求,支援生產線模(治)具的設定,換型和調整,協助生產團隊解決日常作業中與工裝相關的問題, 確保工裝依照標準流程正確安裝,使用和存放

Tooling Setup & Production Support

• Support production line tooling setup, changeover, and adjustment based on production requirements.
• Assist production teams in resolving tooling-related issues during daily operation.
• Ensure tooling is correctly installed, used, and stored according to standard procedures.
• 新產品導入及新模具支持

在新產品導入 (NPI) 期間,支援新模具的建置,試用,調試和驗證活動, 協助模具工程師使用新模具或改良模具進行樣品建造與試生產, 記錄試運轉期間發現的模具問題,並提供改進回饋。

NPI & New Tooling Support

• Support new tooling build, try-out, debugging, and qualification activities during NPI.
• Assist Tooling Engineers in sample build and trial production using new or modified tooling.
• Record tooling issues discovered during trial runs and provide feedback for improvement

依照既定計畫執行模具,沖模和夾具的預防性維護任務, 參與改善活動,以提高工裝的耐用性,易用性和生產效率, 支援工裝車間的 5S,安全和工裝標準化活動。

Preventive Maintenance & Continuous Improvement

• Execute preventive maintenance tasks based on defined schedules for molds, dies, and fixtures.
• Participate in tooling improvement activities to enhance durability, usability, and production efficiency.
• Support 5S, safety, and tooling standardization activities within the tooling room
• 文件記錄與合規性

維護模(治)具的維護,修理和改造記錄, 在工裝作業過程中,遵守安全,環境健康安全 (EHS) 和標準作業規程, 支援與工裝和安全合規性相關的內部審核或檢查

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain tooling maintenance, repair, and modification records.
• Follow safety, EHS, and standard operating procedures during tooling operations.
• Support internal audits or inspections related to tooling and safety compliance

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree or above
• Mechanical technician, Tool & Die, or related field 5+ years of experience in tooling / tool room operations within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tooling specifications

• 2nd Language: English. Be able to join global meetings in English.
• Strong knowledge of tooling repair, maintenance, and manufacturing processes
