Job Description

Responsibilities

CAD Scene Artist

Superobservation Pte Ltd. (3DScribe / Spatial Support) *************

What We Do

Superobservation turns 3D CAD assemblies into AI-queryable environments. Once a machine is uploaded, the system labels every part, understands how components fit together, and lets people ask it questions through a web viewer, an API, or an MCP server. Our customers are equipment makers and the sales and support teams around them.

Why This Role Exists

Prospects understand the product best when they see a demo built from their own industry; a robotics company has little interest in a washing machine demo. We need a much larger library of demo scenes than our current team can build while also developing the product, so we are bringing in someone whose full-time focus is scene creation.

What You'll Do

  • Find, evaluate, and recommend CAD assets to purchase for target industries
  • Modify and clean up CAD so it processes well: fix geometry, rebuild missing parts, rename, reorganize assemblies, and strip out what doesn't matter
  • Upload and process assemblies through the 3D Studio
  • Publish finished demo scenes
  • Log defects, processing failures, and workflow problems clearly enough for engineering to reproduce them
  • Work from a scene task list scoped weekly, monthly, and quarterly by the CEO and the sales lead

Target output is around five finished scenes per week.

What We Need

  • 5+ years of CAD work (college counts)
  • Fusion 360 or SolidWorks, plus Blender. All three is better. This is not optional.
  • Real mechanical modelling: parametric, proper assemblies, design intent, some feel for
  • how parts actually get made. If your background is Blender only, this isn’t the right fit.
  • Fast. Comfortable turning around several scenes a week without hand-holding.
  • Attention to detail on production-ready assets: naming, hierarchy, units, orientation,
  • clean geometry
  • A portfolio that shows all of the above
  • Able to work independently, own the workflow end to end, and tell us when something is broken
  • You like making CAD. This job is mostly making CAD.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to industrial equipment, robotics, manufacturing machinery, or medical
  • devices
  • Experience prepping CAD for real-time or web rendering
  • A sense of what makes assemblies hard for automated tools

Terms

This posting is for a full-time role. A part-time contract position is also available at a salary of approximately USD 3,000 per month. After 3 months, review for a full-time role and a pay increase, based on scene quality, throughput, and how much had to be redone

How to Apply

Please send a portfolio to ************* & ************* with at least a few complete assemblies (not just renders), noting which tools were used for each and roughly how long each one took. Include a short note on what you enjoy about CAD work.

Pay: From $6,389.00 per month

Benefits:

  • Gym membership
  • Promotion to permanent employee

Work Location: In person
