The IT PMO is responsible for supporting the planning, governance, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of IT projects and programmes within a banking environment. The role ensures projects are delivered according to approved timelines, budgets, scope, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of IT projects across banking applications and technology platforms.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, RAID logs, action trackers, and project documentation.
- Monitor project progress against scope, timeline, budget, resources, and deliverables.
- Prepare weekly/monthly project status reports, dashboards, management reports, and steering committee presentations.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Business Users, IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are completed on time.
- Track and escalate Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies (RAID) to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Organise and coordinate project meetings, steering committees, working groups, and governance forums.
- Maintain project governance in accordance with the bank's PMO methodology, policies, procedures, and control frameworks.
- Track project financials, budgets, purchase orders, invoices, resource utilisation, and vendor costs.
- Support resource planning and allocation across IT projects.
- Ensure project documentation, approvals, and evidence are maintained for audit and regulatory purposes.
- Coordinate change requests, project scope changes, approvals, and impact assessments.
- Track dependencies between different applications, technology teams, projects, and business units.
- Support UAT, SIT, implementation, deployment, and post-implementation activities where required.
- Coordinate with Cybersecurity, Risk, Compliance, Infrastructure, Application Development, Data, Operations, and Business teams.
- Monitor project adherence to banking governance, risk management, information security, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist Project Managers in identifying project delays and developing mitigation and recovery plans.
- Prepare documentation for internal/external audits and regulatory reviews.

Typical Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Project Management, or related field
- 3–7 years of experience in IT PMO / Project Management
- Banking or financial-services experience is highly preferred
- Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-PBA, Scrum Master, Agile, or ITIL are advantageous
