Job Summary

We are seeking an Account Executive to support accounting operations at our NBL Manufacturing Plant. This role is critical to undertake any work related to Financial Accounting and Management Accounting to ensure financial reports are compliance with financial reporting standards, company policies and statutory laws and regulation.

Key Responsibilities

• To ensure timely closing of all accounts and prepare monthly/quarterly management account reports for submission to Joint Venture partners; ensuring adherence to accounting principles and company policies.
• To perform financial analysis of the accounts to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of the bookkeeping. Any discrepancies are identified with the corrective actions and communicate to respective colleagues.
• Responsible to ensure preparation, uploading and posting of journals to financial system. Ensure that all journals prepared are supported by appropriate documentation and approvals.
• Ensure that all reconciliations of balance sheet are prepared on a monthly basis. Any discrepancies are identified with the remedial/rectification action and resolutions.
• Ensure all transactions and intercompany billings are accurately accounted for and confirmed every month. Identify and follow up any un-reconciled items.
• Plays and active role to support daily operation (AP, AR & procurement) as when required. Attending queries which involves in leasing, asset recognition, reconciliations, taxation, accounting system, monthly closing, etc.
• Work closely with auditor to ensure that all matters related to year end statutory audit (audit schedule, reconciliation, draft, etc.) attended in a timely manner and in compliance with regulatory requirement.
• Fixed asset management. Responsible to support in determine the recognition, measurement, tagging and disposal of assets.
• Liase with Tax Consultant, Customs and IRB officer for all company’s taxation matters ie tax filing, tax estimate and others.
• Carry out ad-hoc assignments as delegated by superiors from time to time.
• Follow all plant safety and environment regulations and requirements. Participate in activities to continuously improve quality performance. Participate in department and site safety & environment initiatives.
• To be aware and adhere site she & quality policy and procedure. Work towards the overall objective of the company including report an incident to superior.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor in Accounting, ACCA or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience.
• Strong analytical, numeracy and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and written in English
• Knowledge in SAP and strong excel skills will be an added advantage
