We are looking for a proactive and skilled IT Hardware Executive to manage our company's IT infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of all hardware, including desktops, laptops, servers, and network equipment. You will ensure system reliability, provide technical support to staff, and contribute to the strategic lifecycle management of our IT assets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Hardware Installation, Configuration & Maintenance
- Install, configure, and deploy computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and other peripherals .
- Perform regular system upgrades, updates, and routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security .
- Assemble and disassemble computer systems, replacing faulty components such as RAM, hard drives, and motherboards as needed .
2. Troubleshooting & Technical Support
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and basic network issues for end-users .
- Provide timely technical support to employees, addressing and documenting IT-related problems .
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with printers, scanners, and other office automation systems .
3. Network & Infrastructure Management
- Assist in managing and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and Wi-Fi access points .
- Monitor network performance and ensure reliable connectivity across the organization .
- Collaborate with network administrators to address connectivity and security issues .
4. IT Asset & Inventory Management
- Maintain an up-to-date and accurate inventory of all IT hardware and accessories .
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement to secure disposal or resale .
- Participate in the procurement process by researching and recommending new hardware to meet organizational needs .
5. Vendor Management & Procurement
- Coordinate with external IT vendors for hardware repairs, warranty claims, and service contracts .
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and request quotes for new equipment and services .
- Source and monitor vendors to ensure optimal service delivery .
6. System Security & Documentation
- Implement and maintain security protocols for hardware devices .
- Ensure data backup and system security compliance .
- Maintain proper documentation of IT issues, repairs, and maintenance activities .
7. Project Management & Collaboration
- Collaborate with the broader IT team to design and deploy new IT systems and services .
- Manage projects related to IT infrastructure, including the setup of new offices or system upgrades .
- Conduct training sessions for employees on the proper use of hardware and software .
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field .
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in IT hardware
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of computer hardware components, configurations, and troubleshooting . Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, basic Linux) and network connectivity .
- Soft Skills: Good communication, problem-solving abilities, and strong execution capability .
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
