Our client is a growing freight forwarding business seeking a Procurement Manager to drive ocean freight procurement across Intra-Asia and ex-SEA trade lanes worldwide - based in Klang.

The Role

A regionally focused ocean freight procurement position with broad lane coverage:

• Source and negotiate ocean freight rates (FCL, FAK, NAC, and spot) with carriers, NVOCCs, and co-loaders across SEA
• Handle rate enquiries quickly for country offices, local clients, and overseas agents
• Align with regional procurement teams on Europe and Transpacific trade lanes
• Build and sustain strong carrier and co-loader relationships through regular performance reviews
• Monitor market rates, capacity trends, and trade developments to inform procurement strategy
• Support volume consolidation, carrier allocation, and cost-saving initiatives across country offices

What We're Looking For

A commercially sharp, self-driven ocean freight professional:

• 5+ years in ocean freight procurement with established carrier contacts across South East Asia
• Proven negotiator with ocean carriers, NVOCCs, and co-loaders
• Strong knowledge of FCL and FAK/NAC rate structures and SEA trade patterns
• Comfortable working with BPO/back-office support teams and rate management systems
• Strong communicator, able to work independently across a multi-country environment
