Responsibilities
General Summary:
Overview
The Sourcing Specialist (Contract Manufacturing) supports CM sourcing activities, RFQ execution, supplier coordination, cost analysis, and supplier performance tracking for assigned product lines. This role works cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, Program Management, and Legal to support cost-competitive, scalable, and compliant manufacturing solutions. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of sourcing experience, strong analytical capability, and familiarity with the ODM/OEM/EMS supplier ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
CM Sourcing & Supplier Coordination
Support execution of CM sourcing strategies aligned with cost, capacity, quality, lead time, and risk objectives
Assist in identifying, qualifying, and benchmarking ODM/OEM/EMS suppliers across Taiwan and regional manufacturing footprints
Support supplier evaluations, site assessment preparation, and scorecard-based supplier comparison
RFQ Support & Commercial Analysis
Support end-to-end RFQ/RFP execution, including data collection, supplier communication, bid tracking, and quote normalization
Assist in commercial analysis covering labor/overhead models, NRE/tooling, conversion cost, yield assumptions, pricing structures, and payment terms
Coordinate with Legal and internal stakeholders to support MSA/SOW, NDAs, quality agreements, and supply terms
Cost Analysis & Cost Reduction Support
Develop and maintain cost analysis models, including conversion cost, test cost, tooling amortization, logistics, and Incoterms assumptions
Support cost-down initiatives through supplier benchmarking, quote comparison, footprint analysis, and commercial follow-up
NPI to HVM (High Volume Manufacturing) Readiness
Support NPI and ramp readiness by tracking supplier preparation for materials, capacity, test strategy, and process controls
Work with Engineering and Operations to monitor line bring-up status, critical component readiness, and risk mitigation actions
Supplier Performance & Governance
Support supplier governance activities, including QBR preparation, KPI scorecard updates, and corrective action tracking
Track supplier performance across quality, cost, yield, delivery, responsiveness, and compliance
Stakeholder Management & Communication
Serve as a sourcing coordinator for CM-related tasks, data consolidation, and supplier follow-up
Prepare clear updates on sourcing progress, RFQ status, supplier risks, and negotiation outcomes for internal stakeholders
Compliance & Risk Management
Support supplier compliance tracking for ethics, labor, EHS, security, and responsible sourcing requirements
Assist in assessing supplier concentration risk and tracking business continuity actions
Level of Responsibility
Individual contributor supporting sourcing execution with guidance from senior sourcing or category leaders
Accountable for accurate RFQ data, timely supplier follow-up, quote analysis, and sourcing documentation
May lead smaller sourcing workstreams or support cross-functional taskforces under manager guidance
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience
3–5 years of sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or supplier management experience, preferably with contract manufacturers (EMS/ODM/OEM)
Experience supporting RFQ execution, commercial analysis, supplier communication, and supplier performance tracking
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes (SMT, system integration, test, pack‑out)
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑influencing skills
Advanced Excel/Sheets proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with ODM/OEM/EMS commercial models and operating practices
Experience supporting hardware manufacturing, NPI, or multi-site supplier coordination
Working knowledge of cost analysis, contract support, and manufacturing ramp readiness
CPM/CPSM, supply chain certification, and Mandarin/English business fluency a plus
