Company Description Joyspace Event Management is an events company based in WP, Kuala Lumpur, focused on delivering memorable and engaging experiences for a wide range of clients. The team manages end-to-end event planning, from concept development to on-site execution. Visual storytelling, including photo and video content, plays a key role in capturing and promoting these events. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in WP, Kuala Lumpur. The Video Editor will handle end-to-end video post-production for events, including assembling raw footage, selecting key moments, and creating polished highlight reels and promotional videos. Day-to-day tasks include cutting and sequencing clips, applying transitions and effects, performing basic color correction, and integrating audio, motion graphics, and titles to meet brand and client requirements. The role also involves collaborating closely with event planners, videographers, and marketing team members to understand project objectives, meet deadlines, and maintain a consistent visual style across all video deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, with experience handling footage from live events.
  • Proficiency in Video Color Grading for consistent and appealing visual tones.
  • Ability to create Motion Graphics and integrate Graphics elements such as titles, lower thirds, and simple animations.
  • Hands-on experience with professional editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects).
  • Good audio editing skills, including syncing, basic mixing, and cleanup for event videos.
  • Strong attention to detail, visual storytelling ability, and a portfolio showcasing relevant video work.
  • Capability to work on-site, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant education or training in film, multimedia, communications, or a related field is an advantage.
