Role Overview

Build and operate the data infrastructure that turns raw robot experience into dependable training and evaluation datasets. You will work across ingestion, synchronization, processing, storage, quality, lineage, and tooling so model and robotics engineers can iterate quickly with trustworthy data.

What You’ll Work On 

· Build pipelines for ingesting multimodal robot data including video, images, states, actions, force, telemetry, and logs.

· Implement timestamp alignment, calibration metadata handling, validation, transformation, and dataset packaging.

· Develop tools for dataset discovery, filtering, versioning, sampling, annotation, and export.

· Create automated data-quality checks and dashboards for completeness, consistency, corruption, drift, and duplication.

· Design efficient storage layouts and lifecycle policies for large robotics datasets.

· Maintain lineage and reproducibility from source recording to model-ready dataset.

· Integrate data systems with collection rigs, labeling workflows, model training, and evaluation infrastructure.

· Improve throughput and cost through profiling, batching, parallelism, and sensible compute/storage choices.

· Investigate pipeline failures and data anomalies and drive permanent fixes.

· Document schemas, operating procedures, and data contracts for internal users.

Technical Requirements

Must Have

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data engineering, robotics, or equivalent experience.

· At least 5 years of working experience in Python and SQL skills and sound software-engineering practices.

· Experience building production data pipelines and working with large datasets.

· Knowledge of file/object storage, databases, schemas, partitioning, and data lifecycle concepts.

· Experience with workflow orchestration, observability, validation, and failure recovery.

· Ability to reason about multimodal data, timestamps, metadata, and reproducibility.

· Comfort with Linux, containers, version control, and cloud or on-prem compute.

· Strong collaboration and documentation habits.

Nice to Have

· Experience with robotics logs, ROS bags, video pipelines, or sensor datasets.

· Experience with Spark, Ray, Kubernetes, Airflow, Dagster, or similar tooling.

· Experience with annotation systems, dataset versioning, or ML data platforms.

· Knowledge of privacy, access control, or data-governance practices.

Location

This role is based on-site in Singapore, working closely with the engineering team and robotic systems.
