We are looking for a commercially driven Assistant Sales Manager who is comfortable in developing new business/contacts, building long-term industry relationships and coordinating with Koelnmesse's regional and international sales network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Singapore Sales & Exhibitor Recruitment: Drive exhibitor recruitment for assigned inbound and outbound Food & FoodTec trade fairs through direct sales, prospecting, account development and cross-selling across the Koelnmesse portfolio.
- Association & Government Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with relevant trade associations, industry bodies and government agencies to secure official support, group/pavilion participation and new business opportunities.
- PLX Asia – International Non-Food Sales: Manage the worldwide sales development of PLX Asia's Non-Food segment, in coordination with the Project Director, by developing international exhibitor pipelines and working closely with Koelnmesse's regional offices, sales representatives and partners to achieve sales targets.
- Customer & Market Development: Build and maintain the Business Unit's customer and prospect database, identify new market opportunities and strengthen customer relationships across the Food, FoodTec and Private Label sectors.
- Exhibitor Servicing & Event Support: Manage exhibitor relationships throughout the event cycle, including pre-event briefings, onsite servicing, post-event follow-up and rebooking opportunities.
- Sales Reporting & Administration: Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, CRM records and related documentation, while coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of assigned events.
Requirements:
Successful applicants will demonstrate a strong business sense and have a high level of determination to achieve goals within the set deadlines. They will also be customer orientated, self-motivated and self-reliant. Knowledge of MS Office applications is a must. There will be traveling involved for this role.
Having a minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant sales experience, along with experience in the exhibition and convention industry, will be advantageous.
