Role Description The Economics Teacher will deliver engaging Economics and Business Economics lessons to secondary-level students, ensuring that content is accurate, accessible, and aligned with the school’s curriculum. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, conducting classroom instruction, assessing student progress through tests and assignments, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will support students’ critical thinking and real-world application of economic concepts, contribute to academic planning, and participate in school events and co-curricular activities. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues, maintaining clear communication with families where appropriate, and upholding Maverick’s student-centered, family-oriented ethos. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kajang.
Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Economics and Business Economics, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and connect them to real-world issues.
• Demonstrated Teaching and Education experience, including planning and delivering lessons to diverse learners.
• Proficiency in Lesson Planning, curriculum delivery, and assessment design to support different learning styles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Education, or a closely related field; teaching certification or equivalent is an advantage.
• Effective classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a supportive and inclusive approach to student development.
• Ability to integrate presentations, projects, and experiential learning into instruction and to collaborate with colleagues on school initiatives.
• Comfort working in an on-site school environment in Kajang and participating in occasional outdoor or co-curricular activities.
