About the role
To assist in providing a learning environment that supports the developmental and educational needs of all the children, under the overall direction of the class teacher and Deputy Head.

What will you be doing

  • Work with an individual child or small groups of children, as directed by the Class Teacher, Deputy Head, or Head Master.
  • Actively promote the learning of the Mandarin language within the Pre-Prep dual-language environment.
  • Follow agreed programmes of work with individuals and groups of children to support progress towards set targets.
  • Contribute to the overall well-being of children, supporting their physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Support staff with minor administrative tasks when not directly working with pupils, including photocopying, filing, and maintaining records.
  • Make notes in Individual Education Plan (IEP) books for children, as required.
  • Contribute to the school's Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) programme.
  • Assist with the safe administration of school transport arrangements for children.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as delegated by School Management.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Passionate about working with young children.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and basic technology tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to converse in Mandarin, as this role requires supporting and promoting Mandarin language learning.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate initiative when required.
  • Flexible and responsive, including being available to receive calls in the morning when necessary.
