Job Responsibilities:
Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Support the growth of the Trust Services business by managing enquiries, preparing proposals, and participating in business development initiatives.
- Meet prospective clients to understand their requirements and recommend appropriate trust solutions.
- Contribute towards achieving individual and team business development targets.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, providing regular updates and reports on business opportunities.
- Refer clients with insurance requirements to authorized insurance brokers where appropriate.
Client Onboarding & Trust Administration
- Coordinate the client onboarding process, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with internal procedures.
- Manage trust establishment matters, including collection and initial asset injection.
- Assist in trust administration activities and ensure timely completion of client-related matters.
- Support the review of trust and related documentation where required.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure outstanding onboarding and servicing matters are resolved promptly.
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients by providing professional and responsive service.
- Ensure client requirements are understood and appropriate trust structures and pricing are proposed in accordance with internal guidelines.
- Support Relationship Managers by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of wealth planning solutions, products, and services offered by the Group.
- Keep relevant stakeholders informed of significant client matters and developments.
- Prepare contact reports, pipeline reports, and other management reports on a timely basis.
Operations & Compliance
- Assist the Managing Director in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Trust Services business.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, compliance standards, and risk management guidelines.
- Exercise sound judgement when assessing new business opportunities, including identifying and escalating potential business or reputational risks where necessary.
- Participate in sales meetings and contribute to business planning initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company standards.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in law or equivalent
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in wealth planning, trust, fiduciary services, or related fields. Experience in unit trust administration will be advantageous
- Professional qualification in STEP or ICSA, or currently pursuing one of these qualifications, is preferred
- Good technical knowledge of trust structures, taxation, accounting principles, and company law
- Understanding of wealth planning, generational planning, and wealth structuring concepts.
- Working knowledge of trust and company legislation in relevant jurisdictions is beneficial.
- Familiarity with documentation requirements, pricing principles, and preparation of Letters of Wishes
- Build effective working relationships with lawyers, financial planners, tax advisors, and other professional partners.
