Since opening our first centre in 1989, Small Wonder Preschool has grown to over 50 centres in Southeast Asia and recognised as a leading POP preschool in Singapore. With over 38 locations island-wide, we provide a high-quality, progressive and affordable preschool option for all parents. Our journey towards nurturing confident and competent inquirers continues to grow as we blend the following brands together with our Small Wonder community:
Just Kids Learning Place
(2003 – 2023)
Just Kids Learning Place was opened in 2003 and expanded to a total of 12 centres ever since joining Busy Bees. With a children-first approach, they advocate hands-on learning while also emphasising on their Bilingual curriculum. Joining the Small Wonder family in May 2023, these centres continue to prioritise an enjoyable and enriching learning experience through their enhanced curriculum.
Safari House Preschool
(2008 – 2023)
Based on a proven teaching methodology, Safari House Preschool started in 2008 as the only preschool that offers the Zoo-phonics curriculum in Singapore. Their curriculum also highlights the importance of Bilingualism, Music and Movement. In January 2023, 13 Safari House centres were rebranded as Small Wonder and are fully POP-certified. We continue to offer the Zoo-phonics programme at these 13 centres, in harmony with the Small Wonder curriculum.
Canberra Preschool
(2017 – 2023)
Started in 2017, Canberra Preschool is the first in Singapore to integrate Coding and Robotics into their preschool curriculum. Their S.T.E.A.M. curriculum offers a holistic teaching approach (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics), supplemented with essential enrichment programmes (such as Gym, Music and Robotics) which are offered at varying levels based on age. Canberra was integrated with Small Wonder in December 2023 and is the only Small Wonder preschool that offers S.T.E.A.M. as part of their curriculum.
Eager Beaver Schoolhouse
(2000 – 2023)
With its structured and holistic programme, Eager Beaver Schoolhouse started in 2000 with the mission of actively developing each child’s unique educational style. Promoting growth through learning in small groups, children carry out activities in groups of three to four children at a time. After its acquisition by Busy Bees in 2023, these two POP centres were rebranded to Small Wonder and complemented the current curriculum with this interactive framework.
Spring Brainy Kidz
(2008 – 2024)
Founded in 2008, Spring Brainy Kidz distinguishes itself through its unique curriculum, which incorporates Right Brain Training. This innovative approach is designed to enhance several key cognitive skills in children, including attention span, rapid information processing, improved focus, photographic memory, and creativity. In 2024, Spring Brainy Kidz joined the Busy Bees family, a global leader in early childhood education. Following this acquisition, 6 fully POP-certified centres were rebranded into the Small Wonder network in July 2024, bringing the total Small Wonder centres in Singapore to 38.
