We are hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to join an international multidisciplinary team delivering infrastructure for a complex Air Traffic Management (ATM) solution. This is a yearly renewable contract role with opportunities to work on mission‑critical systems and cutting‑edge technologies.
Overview
The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for providing the infrastructure platform — including network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls) and compute equipment (servers and workstations) — and deploying the Standard Operating Environment (SOE) for projects and bid activities.
What you’ll do
- Revise solution architecture diagrams, cost templates, and Bill of Materials (BoM) at project start
- Contribute to design documentation, acceptance test procedures, and integration documents
- Define equipment configuration and coordinate hardware deployment/integration
- Load, configure, validate, and hand over equipment to Software Integration teams
- Support configuration changes at factory and customer sites
- Attend design reviews and provide customer training
- Identify risks and propose validated solutions
- Support bid activities, knowledge capitalisation, and efficiency initiatives (automation, standardisation)
- Promote Lean & Agile practices and adoption of emerging technologies (AI‑driven monitoring, hybrid cloud, hyperconverged infrastructure)
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with network, cybersecurity, and systems engineering teams
What you’ll need
- Degree in Engineering, ICT, or related discipline (postgraduate in Systems Engineering desirable)
- 7+ years’ experience in design, delivery, and operations of complex server/storage infrastructure and networks
- Strong foundation in networking concepts (switching, routing)
- Expertise in Linux/RHEL, Windows Server, virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V, Proxmox, KVM), and container environments (OpenShift, Kubernetes)
- Experience in infrastructure architecture/design, SAN/NAS storage, data centre deployment, lifecycle management
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform), CI/CD, and automation scripting
- Solid understanding of hardware integration/testing and validation of large systems
- Demonstrated success in multicultural, multidisciplinary environments
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Desirable: Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCNA), ATM systems knowledge, French literacy
