Our client is a Singapore-based applied R&D lab building an open-source humanoid robot platform and the full software stack behind it, working across hardware architecture, locomotion, autonomy, simulation and infrastructure. This role owns the mechanical systems that bring the robot to life.
What You'll Do
Design and develop mechanical assemblies across a full humanoid robot body, including joints, actuators, sensor mounts and structural members
Build detailed 3D parts, drawings and assembly models across plastics, metal and composites in Solidworks or equivalent CAD tools
Run hands-on test rigs — load testing, fatigue cycling, thermal soak and kinematic validation
Lead DFM reviews with contract manufacturers, working the shop floor to understand tooling constraints and failure modes
Produce and maintain production drawings with GD&T and inspection callouts for manufacturing and QA handoff
Set up and instrument test stands, wire sensors and analyze data to close the loop on design iterations
Coordinate with firmware and electrical teams on physical integration of actuators, sensors and PCBs, including cable routing and serviceability
Contribute build guides, BOM documentation and assembly instructions to the project's open-source hardware releases
