Senior Software Engineer (Network Automation Engineer)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Years of Experience: 5-7 Years

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer specializing in Network Automation to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in network automation technologies, a passion for AI-driven solutions, and a commitment to continuous improvement. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently while effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement network automation solutions using Python and relevant frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into existing infrastructure.
  • Utilize AI technologies to enhance network management and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze large datasets to derive insights and improve network performance.
  • Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines for network automation projects.
  • Engage with stakeholders to present progress, challenges, and innovative ideas.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance and quality principles in all automation solutions.

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Network Management and Automation.
  • Proficiency in Python for Network Automation.
  • Experience with Nornir, NAPALM, PyATS, or Paramiko.
  • Familiarity with multi-vendor environments including Cisco, Check Point, and F5.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, databases, and data modeling.
  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL, APIs, and system integrations.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with DevOps & Cloud Engineering tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Knowledge of observability tools like Grafana and Splunk.
  • Familiarity with Power Platform and Low-Code Development.
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on network automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Positive attitude with a strong sense of ownership and a continuous improvement mindset.
