About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Computer Science Upper Secondary IGCSE Teacher to join our dynamic team at IMAS in Kajang, Selangor. This is a full-time position, offering an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on the education of our students.

As an IGCSE Computer Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire our students to develop a deep understanding and appreciation for the field of computer science. Your role will be pivotal in preparing our students for success in their IGCSE examinations and future academic or professional pursuits.

What you'll be doing

• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Computer Science lessons for upper secondary IGCSE students

• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to ensure students' active engagement and learning

• Assess students' progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement effective interventions to support their academic growth

• Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the Computer Science curriculum and teaching practices

• Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the broader life of the school community

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the IGCSE Computer Science syllabus and examination requirements

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in the secondary education sector, preferably with experience in teaching IGCSE Computer Science

• Strong knowledge of the IGCSE Computer Science curriculum and examination requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues

• Proven ability to create and implement engaging, student-centered lessons that promote active learning

• Commitment to professional development and a passion for continuous improvement in teaching practices

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
