Responsibilities
A. Quality Assurance / Quality Control
· Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures, inspection plans, and checklists in line with ISO and applicable industry standards.
· Conduct incoming material inspection, in-process inspection, and final product inspection to verify conformance to specifications.
· Investigate quality non-conformances, defects, and customer complaints; lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives.
· Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and traceability documentation in accordance with the company's document control system and Client’s MDR format.
· Coordinate internal quality audits and support external / customer / certification audits.
· Liaise with suppliers and vendors on quality issues, including supplier audits and corrective actions.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defect rates, rework, and scrap.
B. Production Control
· Monitor daily production schedules against plan, identifying and escalating deviations, bottlenecks, or resource constraints.
· Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
· Track work-in-progress (WIP), output volumes, and productivity metrics, and prepare regular production performance reports.
· Support production planning by providing input on capacity, manpower, and material requirements.
C. Cost Monitoring (Production Controller Scope)
· Monitor and track production costs, including direct labour, materials, consumables, and overheads, against approved budgets.
· Prepare periodic cost variance analysis, identifying and explaining deviations between actual and budgeted production costs.
· Work with Finance and Operations to develop and maintain standard costing, cost allocation, and cost control frameworks for production activities.
· Identify cost-saving opportunities, such as reduction of rework, scrap, downtime, and material wastage, and quantify their financial impact.
· Prepare cost monitoring reports and dashboards for management review, highlighting key cost drivers and trends.
· Support the preparation of production cost estimates and budgets for new projects, products, or process changes.
· Ensure cost data used in QA/QC and production decisions (e.g., cost of quality, cost of non-conformance) is accurately captured and reported.
D. General
· Prepare and present regular QA/QC and production/cost reports to management.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Production / Operations Manager.
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
