Job Summary
The Incoming QA Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying all incoming raw materials, components, and purchased parts to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards. This role helps maintain smooth production flow by preventing defective materials from entering the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming inspections on raw materials, components, and parts based on specifications, drawings, and sampling plans.
- Verify Certificate of Analysis (COA), Certificate of Conformance (COC), test reports, and other required documents.
- Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional checks using appropriate tools (e.g., caliper, micrometer, height gauge).
- Identify non-conforming materials and prepare NCR (Non-Conformance Report).
- Communicate with suppliers and internal departments regarding quality issues and follow-up actions.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and update data into the system (e.g., SAP / ERP).
- Ensure proper labeling, segregation, and handling of accepted and rejected materials.
- Assist in supplier quality audits and continuous improvement activities.
- Support QA Supervisor/Engineer on any tasks related to incoming material quality.
Requirements
- Minimum SPM / Diploma in Manufacturing, QA, Mechanical, or related field.
- At least 1 to 3 year experience in quality inspection (Incoming / In-Process / Final) is an added advantage.
- Able to read engineering drawings and use basic measuring tools.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 5S, and basic quality concepts is preferred.
- Good communication, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
