Role Description

The Procurement Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Shah Alam. This role oversees end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing materials, evaluating suppliers, and managing contracts to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. The Procurement Manager will analyze demand and inventory needs, develop procurement strategies, and collaborate closely with manufacturing, finance, and operations teams to support production schedules and cost optimization. Daily responsibilities include negotiating terms with suppliers, monitoring performance and compliance, maintaining accurate procurement records, and continually improving procurement processes and policies. The role also involves risk assessment in the supply chain, adherence to company standards and ethical practices, and contributing to strategic initiatives that support Linaco’s growth and global expansion.


Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong procurement and contract management skills to manage purchasing processes and oversee supplier agreements.
  • Candidates should possess supplier evaluation and analytical skills to assess supplier performance, compare proposals, and support data-driven decisions.
  • Candidates should possess contract negotiation skills to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels while maintaining balanced supplier relationships.
  • Candidates should possess skills in budgeting, cost control, and basic financial analysis to optimize procurement spend and support business objectives.
  • Candidates should possess effective communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Relevant experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar supply chain or purchasing role, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG, is beneficial.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of procurement systems or ERP tools and familiarity with relevant regulations and ethical sourcing practices is advantageous.
