Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and responsible
Fumigator
to carry out fumigation and pest management services for commercial, industrial and residential premises.
The Fumigator will be responsible for conducting site inspections, preparing treatment areas, carrying out fumigation treatments, operating specialised pest control equipment and ensuring that all treatment activities are performed safely and in accordance with applicable workplace safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct site inspections to identify pest infestations and determine appropriate fumigation treatment requirements.
Plan and prepare fumigation work areas in accordance with approved procedures.
Carry out fumigation treatments using approved pest control products and equipment.
Safely handle, transport, store and use fumigation chemicals and pest control products.
Set up appropriate warning signs, barriers and safety controls before commencing treatment.
Operate, inspect and maintain fumigation equipment and related pest control tools.
Monitor treatment conditions and ensure fumigation procedures are carried out according to established operating procedures.
Conduct post-treatment inspection, ventilation and safety checks before releasing treated areas for normal use.
Maintain accurate records of treatment activities, chemicals used, equipment and site conditions.
Prepare service reports and communicate treatment results and recommendations to supervisors and customers.
Work closely with pest control technicians and operations staff to complete scheduled assignments.
Ensure all work complies with company safety procedures, workplace safety requirements and relevant regulatory requirements.
Maintain proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Assist with other pest management activities when required.
Perform other duties related to fumigation and pest control operations as assigned by management.
Requirements
Relevant professional training or certification in fumigation or pest management will be an advantage.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in fumigation, pest control or a related technical service industry.
Knowledge of pest identification, fumigation procedures, chemical handling and pest management practices.
Good understanding of workplace safety, PPE requirements and safe handling of chemicals.
Able to read and understand English work instructions, safety labels and service documentation.
Good problem-solving and observation skills.
Responsible, safety-conscious and able to follow standard operating procedures accurately.
Physically fit and willing to work at different customer sites and in various working environments.
Able to work independently as well as with a team.
Willing to work overtime, weekends or public holidays when required by operational needs.
Possession of a valid Singapore driving licence will be an advantage.
Candidates must be willing to undergo relevant training and obtain required certifications where applicable.
