Responsibilities
Manage quantity surveying and commercial activities for marine and shipyard projects.
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, quotations and tender submissions.
Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), progress claims and variation orders.
Monitor project costs, contract values and overall commercial performance.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and negotiate commercial terms.
Verify work progress, quantities and payment claims.
Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on contractual and commercial matters.
Monitor variations, costs and potential commercial risks throughout the project.
Maintain proper records of contracts, claims, measurements and project documentation.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
2–5 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably in marine, shipyard or offshore projects.
Good knowledge of cost estimation, tendering, contracts, claims and variations.
Familiar with Bills of Quantities (BOQ), progress claims and measurement.
Good understanding of marine/shipyard construction works and project processes.
Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of QS or estimating software is an advantage.
Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
