Mechanical Engineer (FPSO)

We are inviting Mechanical Engineers to consider a long-term contract on a residential basis.
Responsibilities

• Ensure that costs to the project are minimized and that project schedule is maintained.
• Assist in managing the Engineering Contractors and Equipment Vendors.
• Interact with Client as required.
• Perform and ensure execution of the mechanical engineering scope of work in accordance with the legal obligations, contract terms, scope of work, technical requirements and company policy.
• Interact with and support the engineering contractors as required and equipment/package vendors.
• Achieving resolution of multi-discipline equipment problems by coordinating with other discipline engineers and project engineering management team.
• Update job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging methodology improvements; and absorbing new practices from clients and partners.
• Engineering problem solving and troubleshooting in a holistic approach, even when not directly in own discipline.
• Assist to coordinate discipline issues between client, contractors, vendors and other relevant parties.
• Assist to provide input to weekly/monthly progress reporting and other relevant status information as needed.
• Participate in audits and review processes as necessary.
• Interact with non-technical disciplines as required (document control, cost control, planning).
• Other tasks as requested by the Engineering Manager and Discipline Lead.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or Diploma in a technical subject.
• Good use of Word and Excel and Navisworks.
• Able to write Technical Reports.
• Experience of FPSO projects.
• Experienced in Mechanical Engineering (7-years) especially with specification & delivery of static/rotating equipment and packages, plus material handling studies and associated equipment.
• Proven experience of reviewing & commenting on deliverables from contractors
• Relocation to Shanghai may be required. The candidate must be willing to relocation.

Pay: $2,800.00 - $5,600.00 per month
