About the Role
YC Capital Group is seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Manager to oversee and manage the full spectrum of Human Resources functions for the organisation and its F&B brand, Ayam Gepuk Pak Gembus.
This is a HR Generalist role responsible for driving effective HR strategies, policies, people management, employee engagement, performance management, employee relations, and HR operations. The successful candidate will work closely with Management and department heads to ensure HR initiatives are aligned with business objectives and organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Strategy & Business Partnership
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and initiatives aligned with the Company's business objectives.
- Partner with Management and Heads of Department to provide effective HR advice and solutions.
- Analyse workforce requirements and support manpower planning initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and employee experience.
- Support organisational restructuring, transformation, and change management initiatives.
2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Oversee manpower planning and recruitment activities across corporate and operational functions.
- Work closely with Hiring Managers to identify workforce requirements and hiring priorities.
- Monitor recruitment performance, vacancy fulfilment, and time-to-fill.
- Ensure effective onboarding processes for new employees.
- Support employer branding and talent pipeline initiatives.
3. Performance Management & Talent Development
- Manage the Company's performance management process and ensure timely implementation.
- Work with department heads to establish KPIs and performance expectations.
- Support performance reviews, employee development plans, and succession planning.
- Identify talent gaps and recommend appropriate development interventions.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development teams to support employee capability development.
4. Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
- Manage employee relations matters and provide guidance to employees and management.
- Handle disciplinary issues, misconduct investigations, counselling, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure disciplinary processes are conducted fairly and in accordance with Company policies and Malaysian employment legislation.
- Support Industrial Relations matters, including domestic inquiries and employee disputes when required.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and productive workplace culture.
5. Compensation, Benefits & HR Policies
- Support the review and enhancement of compensation and benefits programmes.
- Conduct market benchmarking and provide recommendations for HR improvements.
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee guidelines.
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies across departments and outlets.
- Support employee welfare and engagement initiatives.
6. HR Operations & Compliance
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations and ensure accurate employee records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Malaysian labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Monitor HR processes including probation confirmation, contract renewal, employee movement, and offboarding.
- Maintain proper HR documentation and ensure confidentiality of employee information.
- Support internal and external HR audits.
7. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to strengthen workplace culture.
- Support initiatives that promote employee wellbeing, recognition, and retention.
- Drive Company values and expected workplace behaviours across the organisation.
- Work closely with relevant stakeholders to enhance employee experience and organisational culture.
8. HR Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare and analyse HR reports and workforce analytics for Management.
- Monitor key HR metrics, including turnover, absenteeism, retention, manpower movement, and employee engagement.
- Identify trends and recommend improvement initiatives based on data insights.
- Present HR updates and recommendations to Management when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist or managerial capacity.
- Experience in the F&B, retail, hospitality, or multi-outlet industry will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act, Industrial Relations practices, and statutory requirements.
- Proven experience in managing the full spectrum of HR functions.
