Responsibilities:

• Supervising and monitoring daily operations to ensure all repair and maintenance works to all guest rooms, public and services areas of the hotel and outside are executed efficiently.

• Operate all engineering plants and machinery to ensure they run in good and optimum condition.

• Supervise the technicians to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

• Carry out emergency repairs to all building and technical equipment to ensure they are in good working order, minimizing disruption to residents and operations.

• Handle guest complaints on engineering aspects and carry out immediate effective and reasonable solutions.

• Liaise with other departments (e.g., Housekeeping, Operations) & external contractors to coordinate maintenance schedules and project work.

• Carry out both the operational and administrative duties.

• Monitor and optimize energy consumption across the property, implementing energy conservation programs and tracking utility costs.

• Assess and manage safety and health risks within the hotel area, ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations and fire codes.

Qualifications:

• Higher Diploma or above in Building Services / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience with similar position / Maintenance sectors of Hospitality Industry / Estate Management / Commercial Building.

• Working knowledge of all aspects of building systems and operations, construction, and related services, and local laws and building codes on building operations and safety.

• Holder of Electrical Worker License of Grade A or above (Grade B0 preferred for Assistant Chief Engineer level).

• Holder of Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card) .

• Good technical knowledge in electrical system, fire services system, plumbing & drainage system and MVAC system, etc.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Work beyond normal working hours or shift duty is required.

• Candidates with less experience will be considered for Assistant Duty Engineer.
