KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management & Close-Out — Manage and coordinate assigned projects from the point of award through to final close-out, ensuring delivery is aligned with contractual scope, technical specifications, and client expectations.

Schedule & Progress Monitoring — Monitor project schedules, progress, documentation, and deliverables, proactively identifying deviations and driving corrective actions to keep projects on track.

Cross-Functional Coordination — Act as the key liaison between clients, suppliers, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Engineering, Production, QHSE, and Finance to ensure smooth and timely project execution.

Materials & Technical Follow-Up — Follow up on materials procurement, inspections, testing, shipments, and technical submissions to ensure compliance with project timelines and specifications.

Risk, Budget & Cash Flow Monitoring — Monitor project risks, budgets, cash flow, and timelines; support budget planning and recovery initiatives, escalating issues promptly and implementing mitigation plans to protect project margins and delivery commitments.

Compliance & Quality Assurance — Ensure project execution complies with internal procedures, contractual requirements, and QHSE/quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Reporting & Documentation — Prepare and maintain accurate project reports, meeting minutes, and technical documentation for internal management and client review.

Stakeholder Representation — Represent Valser in project meetings, client visits, and site coordination activities, maintaining professional and responsive client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

3–5 years of experience in Project Engineering, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.

Proven experience in project execution, supplier/client coordination, scheduling, inspection, expediting, and documentation control.

Exposure to valves, actuators, flow control systems, or industrial equipment projects is a strong advantage.

Able to manage multiple concurrent projects and work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Solid understanding of project planning, budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and risk management.

Good command of written and spoken English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.

Proficient in MS Office and familiar with project scheduling and engineering documentation/control systems (e.g. MS Project).

Willing to travel to project, client, and site locations as required.
