Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for contract administration, subcontractor and supplier payments, project cost management, tender documentation, payment certification, and coordination with clients and authorities. The role requires strong organizational skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 


Key Responsibilities


Contract & Payment Administration

  • Manage and update subcontractor and supplier invoices for payment proposals.
  • Prepare subcontractor payment certificates.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders for site requirements.
  • Follow up on client certificates and payments.
  • Liaise with clients regarding payment and certification variances.
  • Prepare weekly payment and certification reports.


Cost Control & System Management

  • Prepare and process Purchase Orders and Sales Orders in the AX System.
  • Coordinate approval workflows in the AX System.
  • Process site claims, travel, and expense claims.
  • Assist the Finance Department in preparing client invoices. 


Tender Management

  • Prepare tender documents and ensure submissions are completed before deadlines.
  • Support the estimation and tendering process with accurate documentation.


Regulatory & Compliance Management

  • Manage CIDB registrations and license renewals.
  • Coordinate training requirements for construction personnel.
  • Prepare and manage worker Green Cards.
  • Liaise with Akademi Binaan Malaysia (ABM) and relevant authorities on certification requirements.
  • Coordinate site access pass applications with clients and stakeholders. 


Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain and manage project documentation according to company procedures.
  • Archive and dispose of documents in compliance with company SOPs and legal requirements.
  • Safeguard legal contracts and project securities.
  • Prepare monthly consolidation reports, manpower reports, and machinery utilization reports. 


Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in construction or quantity surveying.
  • Fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in contract administration and tender documentation is an advantage. 


Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as AX System will be an advantage.
  • Good report preparation and documentation skills.
