Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure on GCP
  • Manage and support GKE clusters, including deployments, scaling, networking, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker
  • Work with GCP Dataproc to provision and manage clusters for distributed data-processing workloads
  • Support Spark/Hadoop workloads running on Dataproc
  • Develop and maintain Terraform Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automated GCP resource provisioning
  • Create reusable Terraform configurations/modules and manage infrastructure changes through version control
  • Configure and manage GCP services including VPC, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, Cloud Logging, and Cloud Monitoring
  • Implement GCP networking, security, IAM policies, service accounts, and access controls
  • Support CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments
  • Monitor cloud environments and troubleshoot infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, and application issues
  • Implement cloud security, scalability, availability, and performance best practices
  • Automate operational activities using scripting and Infrastructure as Code
  • Work closely with DevOps, Data Engineering, Application Development, and Architecture teams
  • Participate in production support, incident management, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering / DevOps, with significant hands-on experience in GCP
  • GCP - Strong hands-on experience
  • GKE - Strong hands-on experience
  • Google Cloud Dataproc - Hands-on experience
  • Terraform - Strong hands-on experience
  • Kubernetes and Docker
  • GCP networking - VPC, subnets, firewall rules
  • GCP IAM and service accounts
  • Cloud monitoring and logging
  • CI/CD concepts and tools
  • Production cloud support and troubleshooting
