Key Responsibilities:
Credit Strategy & Risk Management
- Drive responsible business growth by executing credit strategies aligned with the company’s approved risk appetite.
- Assess and manage credit risk while ensuring balanced and commercially sound decisions.
Credit Evaluation & Approval
- Review, evaluate, and approve credit applications within delegated authority limits.
- Ensure all underwriting activities comply with internal policies, scorecards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct detailed financial and risk analysis to support effective decision-making.
Policy, Compliance & Governance
- Implement and uphold credit policies, underwriting standards, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements, including Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) guidelines.
Portfolio Monitoring & Risk Analytics
- Monitor portfolio health and identify emerging credit trends or potential risks.
- Prepare meaningful risk analytics, portfolio reviews, and management reports to support strategic decisions.
Collections, Recovery & Fraud Risk
- Collaborate closely with collections and recovery teams to minimize portfolio losses.
- Support fraud detection, investigation, and mitigation initiatives to strengthen overall risk management.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing credit team.
- Build strong collaboration with internal stakeholders to enhance operational effectiveness and customer experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Banking, or related discipline.
- Professional certification such as CCE or CCR is an added advantage.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in credit evaluation and risk management, preferably within banking or financial services.
- Strong leadership experience with proven ability to manage, coach, and inspire teams.
- Hands-on experience in fraud detection and/or investigation within credit risk functions.
- Familiar with CCRIS processes and experienced in handling requests or reporting related to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an advantage
Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM11,000.00 per month
