Part-Time IT Support Technician

About the Role

Global Vision Multimedia is looking for a Part-Time IT Support Technician to provide hands-on IT support for our Singapore office.

You will assist employees with day-to-day technical issues, including laptop and mobile device setup, account access, Wi-Fi, printers, meeting room equipment, and basic network troubleshooting.

This role is suitable for someone who is technically curious, reliable, and enjoys solving problems. You do not need to know everything from day one. Guidance will be provided by our wider IT team, with opportunities to develop your technical knowledge and practical IT skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and troubleshoot laptops, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
• Assist with password resets, account unlocking, and basic access requests for Microsoft 365, Lark, and other business applications.
• Support employees with Wi-Fi, printers, meeting room equipment, and other office IT issues.
• Perform basic troubleshooting for network and connectivity issues and escalate more complex problems to the wider IT team.
• Assist with IT equipment installation, cabling, and basic hardware maintenance.
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding by preparing, resetting, and collecting IT equipment.
• Assist with the implementation of new IT systems and projects.
• Provide basic user guidance and training when required.
• Document unresolved technical issues clearly for escalation to the wider IT team.
• Assist with basic network hardware configuration and maintenance as your skills develop.

Requirements

• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Good knowledge of Windows, macOS, or Linux.
• Strong interest in technology and hands-on troubleshooting.
• Able to investigate technical problems independently and learn unfamiliar systems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and comfortable working on-site in our Singapore office.
• Willing to learn and take guidance from the wider IT team.

Good to Have

• IT-related studies, courses, certifications, or self-learning.
• Personal IT projects such as setting up a home network, home lab, NAS, media server, or router.
• Previous customer service or help desk experience.
• Experience with IT ticketing systems or technical documentation.
• Basic knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, Python, or other scripting/automation tools.
• Japanese language ability.
