Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Degree student in Retail Management, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
• Interest in gaining hands-on retail experience, with a willingness to learn across operations and events.
• Able to work weekends, public holidays, and during event periods when required.
• We are looking for interns who want to grow with us; high-performing interns may be offered full-time roles upon successful completion of the internship, subject to mutual agreement and business needs.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Familiarity with cash handling and basic POS procedures from coursework, part-time work, or practice shifts.
• Experience or comfort performing stock counts and basic inventory control tasks.
• Ability to prepare simple operational notes and daily sales summaries with attention to accuracy.
• Understanding of visual merchandising and basic store presentation standards.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Passionate about retail operations, customer service, and practical business management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for smooth guest and team interactions.
• Responsible, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Good organisational skills and pragmatic problem solving when routines face surprises.
• Interest in arcade entertainment, IP pop-up stores, anime, K-pop, or pop culture is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Store Operations

• Run daily opening and closing routines to ensure stores open on time and close securely.
• Handle cash accurately at till, prepare end-of-day cash notes, and support safe deposit procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety on the shop floor so the space is welcoming for guests and staff.
• Follow and help keep SOPs and safety checks current with supervisors.

Events & Guest Experience

• Support IP pop-up activations and on-site promotions, working to agreed schedules and guest flow plans.
• Assist on the sales floor during campaigns to ensure smooth customer interactions and timely service.
• Coordinate simple event logistics with supervisors and external partners to meet timing and capacity needs.
• Help manage queues and guest enquiries to maintain a positive experience during busy periods.

Merchandise, Inventory & Reporting

• Monitor displays and replenish stock to keep bestsellers visible and merchandising standards consistent.
• Conduct regular stock counts and report discrepancies to reduce shrinkage and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Prepare clear daily operations notes and simple sales reports for supervisors.
• Propose small, practical improvements to routines that make stores easier to run day to day.
