About the role

This role involves food preparation and cooking for a kindergarten centre at Sunway (Bandar Sunway), along with support duties to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the facility. You will prepare daily meals, snacks and beverages for children according to the centre's menu, ensure proper food handling and kitchen hygiene, and assist with general centre upkeep and operational tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook daily meals, snacks and beverages for the children according to the centre's menu
• Ensure meals are prepared in a clean, hygienic and child-friendly manner
• Follow proper food handling, storage and kitchen hygiene practices
• Monitor food supplies and inform the Centre Supervisor when stocks are running low
• Keep the kitchen, cooking equipment and food preparation areas clean and organised
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the kindergarten, including common areas, toys and learning materials
• Carry out light cleaning duties to ensure the centre is safe, clean and comfortable for children
• Ensure toys, furniture and other centre items are properly arranged and kept in good condition
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all times
• Report any safety hazards, damaged equipment or maintenance issues to the Centre Supervisor

About you

• Minimum SPM or equivalent
• Previous experience in cooking, food preparation, childcare, kindergarten or a similar environment is an added advantage
• Able to prepare simple, nutritious and child-friendly meals
• Responsible, reliable and organised
• Comfortable working around young children
• A caring, patient and positive attitude is preferred

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
