Job Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with daily food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Wash, cut, peel, and prepare vegetables, meat, seafood, and other ingredients.
• Assist with cooking and plating food when required.
• Prepare ingredients according to the chef's instructions.
• Keep the kitchen, cooking equipment, utensils, and work areas clean and organized.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
• Assist with receiving, checking, and storing food supplies.
• Check food ingredients and report any shortage or quality issues to the supervisor.
• Follow proper food hygiene and safety procedures.
• Assist the kitchen team during busy periods.
• Perform other general kitchen duties as assigned by the chef or supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is preferred.
• No experience may be considered for suitable candidates, depending on the employer.
• Able to follow instructions and work well with the kitchen team.
• Physically fit and able to work in a busy kitchen environment.
• Responsible, hardworking, and willing to learn.
• Good hygiene habits.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
