Key Responsibilities
This role includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Conduct fitness assessments using Visbody, client orientation sessions, dynamic stretching, and one-on-one personal training when required.
- Design and deliver safe, progressive, and customized Pilates programs aligned with individual client goals.
- Lead private, duet, and group Pilates classes (up to 8 participants) using various Pilates apparatus, including Reformer, Cadillac/Trapeze, Chair, and Barrels.
- Deliver EMS (Electro Muscle Stimulation) training sessions, including client preparation, movement guidance, posture correction, and ensuring overall client safety.
- Perform initial client consultations, including assessments and goal-setting discussions.
- Work closely with the Fitness Manager to develop and retain a strong client base using studio-generated leads and resources.
- Maintain accurate records of client attendance, progress, and session quality.
- Ensure studio cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and professional presentation standards at all times.
- Provide outstanding customer service and foster a motivating, results-oriented training environment.
- Participate actively in internal training programs, workshops, and instructor development initiatives.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, public holidays, and peak client demand periods.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Completion of Reformer Pilates certification or full certification across all Pilates apparatus (Mat, Reformer, Cadillac/Trapeze, Chair, and Barrels).
- Candidates certified in all listed apparatus may be considered for a higher instructor tier based on experience and qualifications.
- Submission of valid Pilates certification documentation is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a strong focus on client engagement, results, and retention.
- Genuine passion for health, movement, and holistic wellness.
- Fresh graduates and newly certified Pilates instructors are encouraged to apply.
Essential Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely demonstrate, modify, and correct Pilates exercises.
- Capability to perform regular physical movements such as standing, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout sessions.
- Ability to physically support, spot, and correct clients’ posture with care and professionalism.
Remuneration & Benefits
Full-Time Position:
- Class commission with progressive increments
- EPF and SOCSO contributions
Monthly earnings may range between RM5,000 to RM10,000, depending on performance.
Progressive commission structure applies to full-time instructors based on class volume and client retention.
