1. Assist, co-ordinate and follow up with the operating units/ departments in compliance with the standards. Provides leadership and consultative services to departments and services within PMC and Columbia Asia Health Care group in achieving regulatory, accreditation, and organizational compliance in quality and in performance management and improvement activities. Assesses operating units compliance with accreditation standards and regulations related to clinical care in collaboration with entity leadership and staff. Identifies areas of vulnerability and directs the development of strategies to enhance compliance.
2. In collaboration with department heads, participates in the monitoring, reporting, and improvement activities related to clinical guidelines, health care quality/safety initiatives, accreditation and regulatory requirements.
3. Coordinating, planning and participating in the JCI, MSQH, regulation bodies, etc, Internal Audit and activities to gauge the performance of the quality and health care management system. Liaise with ESH / Laboratory audit team in overall audit planning and implementation plan.
4. Identify, facilitate and conduct competency-based trainings programs to educate staff on the regulatory & standards requirements as well as quality, process improvement and patient safety related. Proactively educates leadership and staff regarding regulatory issues, new statutes/guidelines, and safety/quality/process improvement activities.
5. Conduct training to equip staff with knowledge in the use of Quality Improvement tools. Conducts General Orientation as and when necessary.
6. Regularly communicate and facilitate Quality Improvement and quality/safety activities to leadership and staff. Measure the outcomes of the implemented activities aligned with PMC vision and mission.
7. Provide technical assistance in the use of RCA, 5S and PDSA.
8. Coordinates project presentation during competition, sharing best practices, etc
9. Establish framework on instilling culture of continuous improvement by effective deployment plan. Ensures staff involvement in all healthcare quality team efforts. Conduct awareness program to instill Quality and Patient Safety culture within hospital staff. Acts as an agent of change and is effective in the change process, including the identification of opportunities to improve, the resolution of problems, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of change which aligned with Group SQM.
10. Identify, facilitate and coordinate hospital-wide risk management activities, including the identification, assessment, mitigation and monitoring of clinical and operational risks. Provides guidance and support to departments in developing appropriate risk mitigation strategies and promotes a proactive risk management culture across the hospital.
11. Facilitate and provide training and awareness to staff on risk management principles, risk identification, risk assessment and mitigation. Coordinates and consolidates hospital-level risk management activities and reporting and provides the necessary support to leadership and relevant governance forums in monitoring and addressing identified risks.
12. Assist in the design and implementation of national patient safety strategies and frameworks using a systems approach, to enable hospitals to be high performing, self-regulating and internationally renowned institutions with strong leadership, culture, capabilities and capacity for patient safety.
13. Participate in internal and external benchmarking activities. Organize and coordinate visits to and by external organization.
14. Participate in other projects concerning improvement of layout, data analysis and measurement as and when required.
Education / Professional Qualification
• Degree with at least 6 years' experience in quality management with at least 2 years in healthcare setting.
• Efficient in the use of word processing tools such as Microsoft Word and presentation tools such as Microsoft Powerpoint
• Ability to use analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel and statistical analytic tools such as SPSS is an advantage.
• Good Oral and written communication skills in English and Bahasa
• Experience in implementation of Quality Management System and healthcare will be advantageous
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Methodology, PDSA, 5S, FMEA and 7QC Tools.
• Knowledge of MSQH and JCI
• Good analytical skills in analyzing specific performance and be creative and forward thinking in problem solving and making recommendations.

15. Consolidate quality indicators reporting and incident reports for Hospital CEO and Quality Council.
16. Assisting Hospital CEO and SMT’s in liaising with external parties on quality management related matters.
17. Undertake any other projects or duties assigned by the Hospital CEO and Head, Medical Services.
