Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, handling inquiries, providing shipment updates, and addressing complaints.
• Deliver proactive communication on shipment status and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.

Shipment Coordination

• Monitor vessel schedules, cargo arrivals, and delivery timelines to ensure smooth operations.
• Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and port authorities to coordinate shipments.

Documentation

• Prepare, verify, and process import / export documentation including bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant with trade regulations and company policies.

Problem Resolution

• Investigate and resolve shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies.
• Coordinate corrective actions with internal teams and customers to minimize disruption.

Internal Collaboration

• Work closely with internal stakeholders such as warehouse, customs, and finance teams to ensure efficient cargo clearance and delivery.
• Support sales and account managers by providing timely customer and shipment updates.

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure adherence to international shipping regulations and company standards.
• Generate reports on shipment performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in ocean import / export or freight forwarding operations
• Strong knowledge of import / export documentation, customs procedures, and international shipping regulations
• Experience in liaising with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and port authorities
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle shipment issues efficiently
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics/shipping systems.
• Willing to working in Klang and subsequently relocating to Sunway Square.
