Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).
- Monitor and review customer transactions and activities for potential suspicious activities.
- Review and investigate AML alerts and identify potential financial crime risks.
- Conduct preliminary investigations and escalate suspicious cases where necessary.
- Maintain accurate and complete AML documentation, records and case information.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with internal AML policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Support regulatory reporting, compliance reviews and audit requirements.
- Work closely with relevant Compliance, Risk and Operations teams to support timely case resolution.
- Stay updated on relevant AML regulations, financial crime controls and industry best practices.
- Perform other AML and compliance-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Law or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in AML, KYC, Compliance, Financial Crime or a related function is preferred.
- Experience in CDD, EDD, KYC, transaction monitoring or alert investigation will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of AML regulations, compliance requirements and financial crime controls.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple cases or tasks.
