Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced
Assembly Manager
to oversee and manage the day-to-day assembly operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, delivery schedules, manpower utilization, and workplace safety are achieved.
The role requires a hands-on leader who can manage production teams, improve manufacturing processes, and work closely with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Logistics and Purchasing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee daily assembly production activities to meet
delivery schedules
.
Plan and allocate manpower, machines, materials and production resources effectively.
Monitor production output, productivity, efficiency and downtime.
Lead and supervise production supervisors, team leaders and assembly operators.
Ensure assembly processes are carried out according to
work instructions, SOPs and quality requirements
.
Work closely with the
Quality team
to identify and resolve quality issues and reduce defects/rework.
Coordinate with
Engineering
on new product introduction, process improvements, tooling and technical issues.
Coordinate with
Planning and Logistics
to ensure materials and components are available for production.
Monitor production bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve
productivity, yield, efficiency and cost effectiveness
.
Establish and monitor production KPIs for the assembly department.
Ensure proper implementation of
5S, safety requirements and housekeeping standards
.
Investigate production problems and implement timely solutions.
Prepare and submit regular production performance reports to management.
Train, coach and develop production supervisors and operators.
Manage overtime and manpower requirements according to production needs.
Ensure proper documentation and traceability of production activities.
Support internal and external audits relating to production processes.
Perform other duties and improvement projects assigned by management.
