About the Role
We are an established professional services firm specialising in intellectual property law. We have offices in Singapore,Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand. Our clients are some of the largest global companies.
We are seeking an exceptional operator to serve as strategic and operationalright hand to the Managing Partner — a role that combines operationalleadership of the firm with co-ownership of our most important client relationships.
This is not a traditional admin or ops-support position. Aftera period of training, you will be groomed to have authority over how the firm runs day-to-day, direct access to leadership decisions, and the latitude toshape systems, people, priorities, and the client experience.
What You'll Own
Operations & Leadership
Acting as the Managing Partner's closest strategic counsel — translating vision into execution
Managing an existing high-performing internal team, including human resource management
Collaborating across operations, IT, and client-facing teams to streamline workflows
Client Relationships
Serving as key contact and senior liaison for major accounts
Maintaining oversight of service agreements — tracking renewals, pricing, and recommending terms
Reviewing client portfolios and consolidating feedback on volume, trends, and issues
Coordinating client visits, business reviews, and commercial engagements
Handling client feedback, concerns, and escalations with discretion and sound judgment
Liaising with regional offices, partner firms, and international contacts on quality, pricing, and audits
Representing the firm in external relationships where discretion and judgment matter
Business Development & Marketing
Leading business development efforts to raise the firm's profile and deepen client relationships
Overseeing content for outreach programmes, publications, and client communications
Preparing marketing materials, pitches, proposals, and executive summaries for client-facing discussions
Participating in relevant industry research and benchmarking
Attending networking events and conferences on behalf of the firm
What You Bring
8+ years in senior operational, client relationship, or management roles (relevant professional or legal background an advantage)
A track record of running things — not just supporting them
Sharp judgment, high discretion, high level of initiative and comfort operating with significant autonomy
Strong client relationship management and stakeholder skills
Proficiency with CRM software and standard business tools (Word, Excel)
Excellent time and task management in a fast-paced environment
