Role Description The Senior Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Melaka, responsible for managing and growing key customer accounts across Pos Malaysia’s mail, parcel, and logistics solutions. This role includes developing account plans, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and identifying new business opportunities in assigned territories or segments. The Senior Account Manager will coordinate with internal teams to ensure service performance, resolve issues, and deliver tailored solutions that meet customer requirements. They will prepare proposals, negotiate pricing and service terms, and monitor account performance to achieve revenue and profitability targets. The role also involves providing regular reporting, market insights, and customer feedback to support continuous improvement of Pos Malaysia’s products and services.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in account management, business development, or sales, preferably in logistics, parcel delivery, or related service industries.
- Strong client relationship management skills, including stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities.
- Ability to analyze account performance data, develop account strategies, and translate insights into actionable plans.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; proficiency in additional local languages is an advantage.
- Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
- Comfort with using CRM systems, productivity tools, and basic data analysis (e.g., Excel, dashboards) for account tracking and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and to operate independently in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
- Familiarity with the Malaysian logistics, e-commerce, or retail landscape and customer expectations for delivery services is an added benefit.
